Properties of the ingredients

Wild fish oil blend (mackerel, anchovy, sardine, tuna)

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA): an omega-3 fatty acid, is mainly concentrated in the brain and retina cells. It has been recognized as essential for infant brain development and retinal function. Studies of preterm infants have shown the importance of dietary DHA in learning. DHA has further been shown to play an important role in treating ADD/ADHD.

Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA): also belongs to the omega-3 family and is essential for the production of anti-inflammatory compounds. DHA and EPA are found primarily in cold water fish such as mackerel, sardines, anchovies and tuna.

Borage oil (Borago officinalis) (20% GLA): Omega-6 fatty acids, particularly dihomo-gamma linolenic acid (DGLA) and gamma linolenic acid (GLA), the precursor to DGLA, also play an important role in healthy brain function. Researches have shown a DGLA deficiency in children with hyperactivity. Valuable quantities of GLA are found in borage and evening primrose oil, with borage being the richest source, containing 20% GLA.

Certified Organic Flax seed oil, (Linum usitatissimum) Cold Pressed: Another omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), is found in high quantities in flaxseed and flaxseed oil. ALA is the parent omega-3 and precursor to EPA and DHA. Experimental studies have shown that ALA supports learning and memory. ALA is metabolized into DHA, providing additional benefits to the brain.

Soy lecithin (Glycine max, bean): rich in Phosphatidyl choline (PC) which can be found in soy lecithin, is a component of all cells in the body. It also acts as a source of choline which is the starting material for the synthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in learning and memory. Studies have shown that supplementation with PC helps in learning and memory.

Vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol) : Vitamin E is a valuable additive to any EFA oil, as it helps prevent oxidation of the oil.

Can anyone please guide if this product has ever given side effects. My son has a problem staying focused and is easily distracted.. makes careless mistakes in homework.. want to try this product .. on the other hand not too sure if this product could be addictive..

    • Aly Deleon

      Hello Pawandeep,
There is no side effects with this product. On the contrary, parents have noticed that, when taken simultaneously with ADD/ADHD medication (Ritalin, Concerta, etc), it helps counteract the side effect (insomnia, loss of appetite, depression).
Our customers usually notice improved focus within the first week and consequently improvement in school grades within the following week! It work very rapidly.
Genius does not have any addictive/withdrawl effect. Some parents even like to give Genius only during the week, some take a break during the summer.

    Hello,
My 7-year-old has difficulty with this concentration and she can’t stand still for one minute. I contacted Nutripur because I could not afford to buy products. They were kind enough to give me a free bottle! She is now at 1.5 months in and doing much better. Her level of concentration have improved and she is even completing beautiful dictation with only one or two mistakes compared to before, she had several. She is very proud to show me her exams every Friday. It happens sometimes in the weekend that I do not give her her dose and I immediately see a big difference in her irritation.

I am very happy that this product is part of our lives and I will continue to buy the product even if it is expensive, it’s worth it!

I thank you so much and there is no word to tell you the good that you have brought us and the help for our little Eliane to get better. Even her teacher see a big difference in class, she is more attentive and moves less in her chair.

I recommend At least trying. Beneficial product.
My sons teacher has noticed a difference in how much quicker it is to calm him. It doesn’t have the amounts of EPA & DHA that were recommended by his pediatrician, but we just add some to this liquid to make up the difference. I will be ordering more as I think it makes a difference already.

Chandra – parent of special needs children

I started my 6 year old daughter on Genius two weeks ago,1 tsp a day. I was cautiously optimistic at first but I feel there may already be an ease of her nervousness and ability to focus. She looks rested upon waking the past few days and may have actually slept a reasonable number of hours. My daughter sleeps an average of 4-6 hours a night, and this interrupted. Obviously exhausted, her days are difficult and her emotional challenges surface almost daily ( PTSD, attachement disorder to name a few). I have tried melatonin on and off for years as well as Benadryl, the drowsy feeling seems to trigger fear in her more than comfort unfortunately. This seems to keep her awake during the day and asleep during the night! My daughter’s challenges are believed to be rooted in a compounded childhood trauma along with FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder). Though it is a complex issue, the positive result I have heard from Genius seemed a worthwhile avenue to explore. I believe I may have found what I was looking for!
